Building Commissioning

Building Commissioning

Building Commissioning is a systematic quality control process that ensures the correct development of a building in terms of energy efficiency. The process includes everything from the incorporation of the customer’s objectives into the design, to supervision of the correct installation of all equipment and ensuring that its performance meets the objectives set.

This quality control ensures a reduction in the building’s energy requirements, a reduction in operating and maintenance costs, and improvement of the project’s technical documentation. Additionally, Building Commissioning generates a significant qualitative leap in coordination and communication with the various stakeholders involved in a project, thus reducing, for example, the time and resources invested in dealing with the construction company’s queries or any interventions needed to rectify errors.
